What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining the procurement & legal team.

 

You’ll be involved in:

  • Supporting all procurement activities; negotiating with suppliers, drafting contracts, managing relationships with suppliers

  • Taking care of various operational tasks (keeping our systems and administration up to date, like using the contract management system and DocuSign)

  • Promoting best procurement practices across Eurail

  • Improving communication and collaboration between teams

 

What we’re looking for

In terms of your experience and skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field;

  • Nevi-MIL, NEVI 1, CIPS or similar certification preferred (or willingness to obtain it in the medium term)

  • Financial acumen

  • Affinity with legal topics

  • 0-2 years of experience in Procurement, including internships. This is a Junior role with the aim of career progression within the team.

  • Analytical and very detail-oriented (those endless T&Cs? Yes, you’ll need to read them)

  • Process-oriented but able to handle specific challenges when needed

  • High sense of responsibility (we need to meet deadlines regularly)

  • Efficient and flexible (we have a lot of last-minute projects)

  • Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of Dutch is beneficial to have

  • Active listening skills

  • Feels comfortable acting as a mediator and bringing parties together internally and externally

  • Likes to involve others in the decision-making if it will add value

  • Likes to explain to colleagues the logic behind the processes

 

In addition, it’s extra credit if you have…

  • Knowledge of the SAFe framework

  • An interest in sustainable travel!
