We’re on the search for…

A detail orientated and proactive individual, intrinsically motivated to work in a “hands on” way with stakeholders across the organisation to identify and manage security and privacy risks and ensure compliance of internal policies and industry best practice’s within the Eurail internal environment, product, and platform.


What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining the Security and Privacy team, responsible for ensuring information security and data protection at Eurail. The role forms part of the change management team reporting to the CIO charged with managing the long-term vision of IT change and addressing IT risk within our organisation.


You’ll be involved in:

  • Driving continuous improvement of the Eurail IT landscape by providing governance and technical guidance on how to maintain and enhance IT controls according to industry security best standards (ISO, ITIL, NIST), GDPR.
  • Supporting business stakeholders to understand IT risks and to determine effective controls in line with internal policies.
  • Co-ordinating risk assessments on tooling and product development
  • Consulting and providing expertise on privacy compliance and data protection requirements
  • Planning and managing security testing, vulnerability resolution and assist with security incident response
  • Assisting on IT audits and working with teams for IT audit findings resolution
  • Helping to drive employee awareness of security and privacy compliance


What we’re looking for

In terms of your experience and strengths:

  • 5+ years experience within risk management, IT compliance, internal controls or audit
  • IT degree / certificates (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, etc.)
  • Experience with applicable IT frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, NIST, ISO 27001, 20000, 22301, etc.)
  • Familiarity of practical risk management within DevSecOps and cloud platforms (AWS) is a big plus
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to make decisions, and assess and resolve problems effectively
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and thrives in changing, agile environments
  • Business level fluency in English - written and spoken

In addition, it’s bonus points if you have…

  • Knowledge of the SAFe framework
  • A love of sustainable travel!
  • Already hold the correct documents to work in the Netherlands
