Just as travel is about discovery, we're searching for the right people to join our team. Are you ready to inspire the world through travel?

We’re on the search for…

As Pricing Manager, you will develop and drive the implementation of a pricing strategy that, in concert with our products & services strategy, improves the customer experience and ensures competitive positioning to enhance sustainable growth. This includes pricing strategies for core products (passes, and directly related services like reservations), and value-adding services, across all channels (currently B2C, B2B, and B2I). You will balance customer-centric pricing with business objectives, working closely with internal and external stakeholders in general, and our railway carrier community in particular.

This is an interim position with an expected duration of 6 to 9 months.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be involved in

Pricing Strategy & Execution

  • Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and risks, proposing and making decisions to adjust pricing of our products and services, and/ or adjust pricing-related attributes (e.g refund conditions, booking windows).

  • Benchmark our prices against the carriers’ point-to-point fares in collaboration with the Controlling & Reporting team (annual ‘point-to-point benchmark’).

  • Develop and implement dynamic pricing models, upsell strategies, and exchange services to enhance customer value and revenue potential.

  • Define, manage, and execute the annual promotional pricing plan, working closely with the Prospecting and Purchase teams.

  • Own and maintain the Pricing SKU file, ensuring consistency across all standard pricing and promotions (global and localised).

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the go-to expert for pricing-related decisions, advising leadership and other teams on pricing opportunities and trade-offs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, the carrier community, and other external stakeholders.

  • Support negotiations with carriers on all pricing related-matters, ensuring competitive yet sustainable agreements.

  • ‘Own’ (organise, coordinate, prepare for, run, etc.) meetings with the Pricing Expert Committee (‘PEC’; representatives of carriers’ pricing experts) if and when needed, obtaining their views on and advice regarding strategic pricing matters, in close collaboration with the Supervisory Board Sponsor of the PEC.

  • Manage and distribute the Pricing Newsletters to all internal and external stakeholders, keeping all parties informed of changes and strategies.

Data-Driven Insights & Continuous Optimisation

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support pricing decisions, leveraging available data sources to optimise revenue and customer satisfaction.

  • Establish and monitor pricing metrics, identifying areas for improvement and testing pricing strategies.

  • Work closely with Product Manager, the Research Analysts, and the Commercial teams to assess the impact of pricing on customer experience and business performance.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant pricing regulations and policies, mitigating risks related to competition law and customer fairness.
