The Executive Specialist – Strategic Operations acts as a strategic advisor and operational partner to the Leadership Team (LT), ensuring alignment between executive priorities and day-to-day execution. The role combines high-level executive support, coordination of strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance organisational effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic Planning & Execution
Support the LT in delivering strategic projects, using a mix of methodologies.
Maintain an overarching view across functions to ensure alignment and break down silos.
Coordinate the development and cross-functional review of business cases for sub-strategy implementation.
Monitor risks related to key programs and escalate where appropriate.
Collaborate with the Lean Portfolio Manager to bridge the gap between strategy and day-to-day operations, identifying bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
Leadership Team (LT) Meetings
Coordinate LT and LT & Heads’ meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly), including:
Managing the annual meeting calendar and attendees.
Preparing meeting agendas and collecting/sharing pre-read materials.
Chairing meetings, capturing minutes, and tracking actions and decisions.
Support post-meeting communications and internal messaging based on LT/Heads’ outcomes.
Supervisory Board (SB) and Full Assemblies Support
Organises SB quarterly meetings, full assemblies, expert committees, and strategic project meetings, including:
Managing schedules, attendees, and agendas.
Preparing draft SB and Full Assemblies decks and supporting materials for LT input.
Sharing pre-read materials and enforcing deadlines.
Chairing where appropriate, capturing minutes, and tracking actions and decisions.
What we’re looking for
In terms of your experience and skills:
Business Acumen – Deep understanding of business operations and strategy
Analytical Thinking – Ability to synthesize complex information and provide insights
Project Management – Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Communication & Stakeholder Management – Exceptional written and verbal communication
Leadership & Influence – Ability to drive change and build consensus across teams.
Problem-Solving – Proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
Confidentiality & Discretion – Handles sensitive information with care.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Executive Specialist- Strategic Specialist, within senior management teams, driving operational efficiency and strategic initiatives.
